St. Pius X Catholic Church
Working with liturgical design consultant Michael Carrigan of Sacred Spaces and general contractor JB Mouton, we completed construction of St. Pius X in the fall of 2017.
Design elements were influenced by French, Italian and Spanish architecture but the overall design is meant to reflect the Acadiana Region.
The church is a 31,141 square-foot structure with seating plans for 950, nearly doubling the original capacity of the church. It features 80 foot high vaulted ceilings, a small adoration chapel within the bell tower, and two chapels on either side of the knave devoted to Mary and St. Joseph.
